How to locate your .key file in Hostgator CPanel?

In case you need to find your .key file in your Hostgator account (Or other CPanel account), please follow the steps below:

1. Go to your SSL/TLS section in Hostgator, then go to (CSR) on the right.

• Click “Edit” in the CSR you submit to domain name provider (e.g. GoDaddy)

• Scroll down and click on the link under “This CSR uses the following key:”

• Here is your private key. Copy the section under “Encoded Private Key” to a text file and called it <Your_desired_key_file_name>.key and you are good to go.

• You may need it when you are renewing your SSL. Hope it helps someone.
